2017 Holiday Schedule!

Please note the following changes for the holidays this year:

Wednesday 11/22: 6:30pm class cancelled.

Thursday 11/23: 8:30am class only.

Friday 11/24: 6:00am, 8:30am, 4:30pm, 5:30pm classes only.

Saturday 12/9: powerlift total & holiday party at 8:30am.

Monday 12/25: closed.

Monday 1/1: classes at 8:30 and 9:30am only.

Happy Retirement to JP!

Last week JP officially retired! As she settles into retirement and does some traveling, she’s going to step away from the gym for a little while, but promises to be back to drop in for classes from time to time. It’s been a pleasure to have her here with us from the very beginning. While we will miss seeing her on a daily basis, it’s exciting to wish her well as she transitions to the next chapter of her life!

Santa Rosa Marathon

Anyone planning on getting out there and running the Santa Rosa Marathon (or 1/2 or 10k or 5k) on 8/26-27th? We have some comp. entries (first come, first served). If you’re on the fence, here’s your excuse – and we can put you in touch with some other people who are participating. Let us know!

Memorial Day “Murph”

As is tradition in the greater CrossFit community, we will again tackle “Murph” this Memorial Day.

“Murph

1 mile run,

100 pull-ups,

200 pull-ups,

300 squats,

1 mile run.

If you have a vest or body armor, wear it. Partition reps as needed.

There will be one workout at 8:30am on Monday, 5/29.

For those who have done this before, it’s a grueling workout honoring one of our fallen heros. Those connected to this cause understand that the suffering that we endure during our hardest workout is insignificant compared to the price that so many soldiers and families have paid. This Memorial Day, if you choose to undertake this challenge, please consider holding this “workout” in context. It should be much more than just a test of your physical fitness; it is an opportunity to come together in your community for something greater. Don’t miss the chance to encourage and support each other and be grateful for the ability to handle such a challenge. If you’re planning on attending this workout but it seems too big or intimidating, find a friend and work together to get through the workout.
