Personal Training

All of our members start with personal training here at CrossFit NorthGate, and that is where many people will continue to train to get the custom program and personal attention they need. We like to tackle some pretty challenging workouts, and to do that safely and effectively, form and mechanics are paramount!

 

Everyone progresses at their own speed, so it critically important that you start with a trainer who can tailor your workouts and experience to your unique fitness level. Additionally, many of us walk into the gym with some muscular imbalances, pre-existing injuries and range of motion issues. These need to be addressed so that you can be healthy and functional. Your personal trainer will design a program to correct these issues while pushing you towards your goals effectively and efficiently.

Cardiovascular/Respiratory Endurance

The ability of body systems to gather, process, and deliver oxygen.

Stamina

The ability of body systems to process, deliver, store, and utilize energy.

Strength

The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply force.

Flexibility

The ability to maximize the range of motion at a given joint.

Power

The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply maximum force in minimum time.

Speed & Coordination

The ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a singular distinct movement and the ability to minimize the time cycle of a repeated movement.

Agility & Balance

The ability to minimize transition time from one movement pattern to another and the ability to control the placement of the bodies center of gravity in relation to its support base.

Accuracy

The ability to control movement in a given direction or at a given intensity.
